The nose is vibrant with hints of spice and blueberries and slightly perfumy. On the palate the wine is fresh with soft but supple amounts of gently integrated tannins seamlessly interweaved to give a long and bright finish.
The grapes were harvested on 18 March 2022 early in the morning and the bunches were hand sorted before destemming and crushing. Extraction and fermentation in stainless steel with pump-overs twice a day for 8 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in French oak barrels of bigger formats with a 30 new oak component for 8 months, filtered and bottled in November 2022.
Will pair well with any barbequed meat. Ribeye, braised short ribs or a pulled pork sandwich.
